I admit it....I used to dislike Pat Sajak, the host of the long-running TV game show "Wheel of Fortune".
I thought he was kinda cocky and maybe I was a bit jealous at his easy gig.
You know what, though, Sajak just makes his job look easy because he's pretty darn smooth.
He's not a bad guy guy, either based on what he said about politics a while back.
Unlike other TV stars, Sajak doesn't think it's appropriate for Hollywood types to comment on world affairs as if they are smarter than everyone else.
It was a refreshing remark from what seems like a pretty decent guy.
If only other stars would take heed and follow....by shutting their mouths.
I am going to do the same right now...for the night, anyway!
Good night!
Loved the blog tonight. Pat Sajak is right! Nothing irritates me more than when Hollywood types spout their political agendas.
ReplyDeleteOn another interesting note....to me anyway. Wheel of Fortune has a special place in my heart. It was my grandma's favorite show. You can imagine Grandma's delight when I was pregnant with my first child at the same time as Vanna White. LOL! Grandma followed Vanna's pregnancy and would give me little updates. I lived out of town then so I guess it was a way of following mine as well. Anyway, Grandma lived long enough to see and hold my little girl who looked just like her son...my dad, which delighted her even further. Grandma passed away when my girl was 6 months old. She was the last of my grandparents.
Oh, and another funny story. My dad was an only child and would visit my grandparents every day and take care of things for them. During daylight savings time, dad would set the clocks forward or back for them depending on the time of year. One year dad was sick and didn't go over to their house for a few days. Well, it was during daylight savings so for almost a week, the clocks were off at my grandparents. My grandma lived by her TV guide. She literally circled daily shows and planned her days accordingly. Now, you'd think that she would figure it out when the shows were off by just an hour, but she was old. Very old. Grandma was so incensed with TV guide because their book was "wrong" and she couldn't find any of her shows, that she wrote them a very nasty letter. She told dad all about it the next time he visited. LOL! Dad felt so bad for her AND TV guide, that he made sure never to miss another daylight savings.
: )
