When it comes to cable and satellite TV offerings I have just about used them all....and in some cases twice.
For me, the winner is....AT&T U-verse. The overall product, including marriage of phone and internet services is the best thing out there.
I should know...in my four years living in a condo in North Carolina I have already had DirecTV, Dish Network and now, finally, AT&T U-verse which I am going to stick with.
To be fair, many of the companies now offer most of the same channels, even Time-Warner. Many also have
on-demand and similar recording capabilities, as well.
U-verse has the most complete combination of channels though, and the most up-to-date technology, including recording several HD programs at once and viewing a list of phone calls that have come in.
DirecTV still has slightly better sports offerings, including the only NFL package, available but the ability to combine services together for a better price is simply too good of a deal to turn down.
I liked the superstations package on Dish Network, but I wasn't even watching the two New York channels enough to spend the $5.99 a month for them.
Dish Network also didn't offer as many HD sports channels as U-Verse, and that was a big factor for me making the switch.
If you are happy with your phone and internet services and have opted away from satellite and cable TV altogether, like so many have in these tough economic times, TVandVideoGuide.com is a tremendous internet option.
If you don't want to wait for the networks to release programs on their websites you can watch them live via links provided by TVandVideoGuide.com for a paltry $25 per year.
And the sports and movie offerings are amazing, making the service worth more than $25 a month.
